Hemsworth Services completed a comprehensive renovation of this 1950s three-bedroom end-of-terrace property, transforming it into a modern, safe and functional home ready for new tenants.
The property required extensive refurbishment, including significant remedial building works to rectify previous work carried out at the house. The project involved a complete overhaul of the property’s internal spaces, services and finishes, alongside improvements to the front and rear external areas.
A key focus of the project was to improve the home’s layout and functionality while bringing the property up to modern safety and compliance standards.
Layout & Building Improvements
- Reconfigured the hallway and upstairs layout to make the spaces feel larger, brighter and more functional.
- Altered the layout to improve the bathroom and introduce a dedicated utility area.
- Carried out extensive building works to rectify and improve previous works undertaken at the property.
- Completely re-plastered throughout the property.
Electrical Works
A complete electrical rewire was undertaken to bring the property’s electrical installation up to modern standards.
Works included:
- Full rewire throughout the property.
- New electrical sockets.
- New LED spotlights.
- General electrical upgrades throughout.
Bathroom Upgrade
The existing bathroom was completely renovated to create a modern and practical space.
Works included:
- Installation of a completely new bathroom suite.
- New wall and floor tiling.
- New towel rail.
- New extractor fan.
- Layout improvements to maximise the available space.
Heating & Plumbing
The property’s heating system was comprehensively upgraded:
- Complete new central heating system installed.
- New radiators fitted throughout.
- Radiators upgraded to thermostatically controlled models.
- Boiler relocated as part of the kitchen renovation.
Kitchen Installation
- New kitchen units and worktops.
- Tiled splashback.
- New flooring.
- Boiler relocated into the kitchen to improve the overall layout and use of space.
Loft & Energy Improvements
- New loft insulation installed.
- EPC achieved at Level C, helping to improve the property’s energy efficiency.

The internal layout was also redesigned to make better use of the available space, including the creation of a utility area and improvements to the hallway and upstairs accommodation.
Despite the extensive scope of works and the need to rectify previous building work, Hemsworth Services coordinated the project alongside other specialist trades to ensure the renovation was completed within the required timeframe.
The finished property now provides a modern, practical and compliant home, with improved functionality, energy efficiency, safety and overall presentation.
